Rotating Biological Contactor RBC
The Seprotech Rotating Biological Contactor is a patented and proven technology used in the secondary and tertiary treatment of wastewater processing. Seprotech Systems industry leading Rotating Biological Contactor technology involves allowing wastewater to come into contact with a biological medium in order to facilitate the removal of contaminants.

The Seprotech Rotating biological Contactor (RBC) system consists of a series of disc banks called: (ROTORZONES™) mounted on a stainless steel shaft that is motor driven rotating the internal RBC system through the flow of sewage.
As the media rotates the biological growth that becomes attached to the media assimilates the organic materials in the wastewater. Natural Aeration is provided by the rotating action, which then exposes a portion of the circular media to the air while the remainder of the filter media rotates through the wastewater. The degree of wastewater treatment is related to the amount of media surface area and the quality and volume of the inflowing wastewater. The proprietary Seprotech Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) Media Bank design allows for maximum surface area while providing optimum space between each media film allowing for superior biological results.
Seprotech Systems manufactures ROTORDISK®, a patented Rotating Biological Contactor technology that has set the standard for RBC Technology since 1978.
In 2011, Seprotech Systems celebrates more than 2,000 successful installations around the world proving that our Rotating Biological Contactors are the world’s most efficient, reliable and economical wastewater treatment solution.
