Mechanical Engineer

Seprotech is a provider of pre-engineered water and wastewater treatment solutions to the municipal/land development, resource sector and military market place, including Reverse Osmosis water purification systems, ROTORDISK® biological sewage treatment package plants and CrystalBlueTM membrane-based water recycling systems. Seprotech designs, builds and delivers water and wastewater treatment solutions around the world and is looking to add additional staff to be based in its Ottawa Head Office.

Summary

This is an entry to intermediate level Mechanical Engineer position reporting to the Engineering Manager. This is a six month contract position, with possible extension into permanent employment based on performance and workload. The candidate will be responsible for the design and analysis of mechanical equipment relating to water and wastewater systems and will work closely with Process Engineering and the Sales Department to meet specific project requirements.

Responsibilities

The Engineer tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Structural design of large scale, welded steel tanks to withstand internal water pressure, support vertical loads of process equipment, and direct internal flow.
  • Pumps, valves, motors, bearings and other equipment's sizing and selection.
  • Sourcing and specification of various mechanical and electrical components.
  • Technical support of internal shop personnel, Customer Service & Sales Departments.
  • Support of Quality Assurance process.
  • Drafting ability of production drawings, General Arrangement drawings, electrical, P&ID drawings, piping, and complete Bills of Materials.
  • Design improvements and cost reduction of standard product line.
  • Technical specifications and manuals preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering License or ability to get license an asset.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication and shop management practices.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD® and MS Office®.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks® 3D modeling software and E3 WireWorks.

Mechanical Designer / Technologist

Electrical Engineer/Technologist

Responsibilities

The Engineer will be responsible for the design and analysis of electrical equipment relating to:

  • Process control and instrumentation.
  • Electrical Panel and system configuration and layout.
  • Panel manufacturing, wiring, material specifications.
  • PLC Control and programming - SCADA, Motor Controls, MCC's, VFD's HMI's and TVSS.
  • Diesel generator systems, remote power systems integration.
  • Harmonics, IEEE519 standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university/College.
  • Have 5 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD® and MS Office®
  • Knowledge of E3 Wireworks is an asset.
  • P.Eng. or CET License or ability to get license is an asset.

Technical Writer English/French

This is an entry to intermediate level position reporting to the Project Manager. This is a six month contract position, with possible extension into permanent employment based on performance and workload. The candidate will be responsible for the compilation of materials, development and translation of technical equipment manuals and marketing materials relating to the water and wastewater systems, and will work closely with Engineering group members to meet specific project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Capable of writing detailed technical documents such as user manuals as well as translating existing user documentation and marketing documents from English to French.
  • With the support of other individuals, review and analyze technical documents in order to create, write, revise and/or update various types of user manuals. They may be responsible for translating and revising various corporate documents.
  • Experience of writing and preparation of training materials.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology and Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Responsibilities will also involve working closely with Engineers and Manager and Project Managers as well as the Operation, Quality Assurance, Customer Service and Sales departments.
  • Computer Proficiency: advanced knowledge of MS OfficeTM.
  • Fluently bilingual French and English
  • Strong sense of organization and priorities

  • Able to work autonomously with excellent attention to detail

Administrative Assistant

BluMetric requires a full time Administrative Assistant who will be required to work with a team in performing an array of administrative duties including secretarial and receptionist duties to ensure effective and efficient operations to work at our Holly Lane location. Additional responsibilities include formatting, compiling and printing of reports, filing, and answering phones in a polite courteous manner, directing calls and responding to inquiries, distributing mail and performing other administrative duties when required.

Job Duties
